Kierra Zaneski is an undergraduate at UCLA, majoring in Human Biology and Society, and expects to graduate in 2026.

At DDL, she contributes to developing therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. She performs immunoassays and cytotoxicity screenings, maintains cell lines, and has worked on nanoparticle flow chemistry projects.

Outside the lab, Kierra is interested in bioethics, moral dilemmas in film and literature, and healthcare equity. Her greatest passion is athletics; she was a competitive Junior Olympic gymnast for over 10 years and recently competed in the 2024 LA Marathon.

After graduation, she plans to pursue an MD, aiming to specialize in orthopedic sports medicine for competitive gymnasts.
